Kourtney Mason-Byrd (BabeMason) is the founder of Stepping High Boutique & The Agency, where beauty, creative direction, and strategic leadership meet purpose. A confident, compassionate, and visionary leader, Kourtney merges over a decade of industry experience with academic training in both business and behavioral science to elevate every client experience.

A licensed cosmetologist and Paul Mitchell the School – Austin,Tx graduate (2013), she specializes in makeup, skincare, and salon management, with hands-on experience in runway, fashion shows, hair shows, and boutique leadership. Her roots in the beauty and fashion industry date back to high school, where she first began producing shows and assisting seasoned stylists, building the foundation for her signature creative approach.

Kourtney has an education in Associate of Applied Science in Business Management & Finance and BS in Social and Behavioral Sciences as a member of the Society for Collegiate Leadership & Achievement, she integrates her studies in psychology, sociology, economics, and health to understand people, systems, and the deeper factors shaping human behavior and community well-being.

Driven by a passion for accessibility, equity, and ethical leadership, she creates environments where clients and collaborators feel seen, supported, and empowered. Her work is fueled by optimism, authentic connection, and a commitment to excellence. She leads with intention, helps in building brands, experiences, and creative spaces that reflect her belief that beauty is a pathway to confidence, identity, and liberation.
